Not a review, not sponsored, not requested. In fact I’m going to try not to mention any brands where possible. There are certain things I’m loving this week that may give you a clue into the mayhem I live in.
The great preserver of toddler decency. He has not yet learned how to undo them, it is probably not long until he does. I forgot to put a vest on him the other day and within seconds of putting him in the playpen I heard a dull thud as his nappy hit the floor. I will therefore be putting him in vests for as long as he is in nappies. Counting my lucky stars that he hadn’t soiled it before disrobing.
Great for playing games with, encouraging manual dexterity and problem solving processes for both the boys. They are also an excellent early detection method as part of your home security systems. This does rely on your burglar removing their shoes before entering your living areas, however they are equally as effective for finding out when your husband is home after a night out.
What do you do with yours? Sock puppets, spare dusters or clothes? Well take it from me there is no more effective way to ensure your vacuum cleaner is in tip top condition than if you suck up at least one a day. Make sure your children leave them in hard to reach places so that you get a decent workout.
It stops splashes and stains from getting on my clothes, it also sort of stops me from melting from standing in front of the oven/hob all day because it acts as an extra layer of insulation.
The biggest benefit of wearing an apron however is the uncanny ability it gives me to stand with my arms on my hip and look intimidating. Some kids got in the garden the other day while I was making jam, and I ran out with the wooden spoon in my hand (to stop it getting hot in the pan you understand), I’ve never seen children run so fast away in all my life. I wonder if they didn’t recognise me because I had my hair wrapped up in a scarf?
It’s for hygiene purposes.
As usual it’s busy around here so do subscribe or fan the blog if you want to keep up to date. A very lovely friend will be guestposting here in the next day or so (and it’s a real treat), a trip to the O2 to see RTÉ’s “The Hit” to see my Brother In Law, and then I’ll be in Dublin on Saturday to give my Demo with Glenisk.
