Goodall’s Competition.

Things have been very busy here at Wholesome “Towers” and so I’m easing back into the blogging groove with a fantastic competition from Goodall’s.

I don’t just have one prize, I have 3 to give away!

Recently Goodall’s sent me a package containing all of their new spice rubs to try out. I’ve been using them in the kitchen for the past fortnight and they’ve been a great addition to my store cupboard. Without a doubt, the best thing about these rubs is that they are salt free.  I would happily bore the pants off anybody about the dangers of too much salt in your diet, in particular if you’re cooking for children, so this is a major bonus for me.  Prize-wise they are a little beyond my budget if I’m brutally honest, however my mother rowed in with her opinion that they still offer value for money if your budget isn’t as tight as mine. Thumbs up from her so!

I’ve teamed up with Goodall’s to offer three lucky winners some very tasty prizes….

On Friday, 20th September, The Doorway Gallery and Dr. Sketchy’s Dublin will be hosting the first-ever Goodall’s Edible Art Gallery as part of Dublin’s Culture Night celebrations.

Free to attend and taking place at The Doorway Gallery on South Frederick Street, the Goodall’s Edible Art Gallery will host over 20 edible pieces of art, and visitors are welcome to create their very own edible masterpieces.

Pictured is an ‘edible’ interpretation of Roisin O’Farrell’s recent ‘Tea Cup Scandal’ series of work by bakers Niamh Geraghty from Perfectionist Confectionist and Geraldine Arnold from Cake My Day.Roisin O'Farrell Goodall's Edible Art Gallery 3

Other submissions include sugar paste bridal accessories from Aisling Nelson of Rangoli Jewellery, edible sculptures of pastillage from Lynn Smith and a submission from portrait artist, Gavin O’Donoghue, created using ‘paints’ from edible ingredients.

Ahead of Culture Night, Goodall’s, The Doorway Gallery and Dr. Sketchy’s Dublin are hosting a special, invite-only preview evening on Thursday 19th September.  Goodall’s have given me two tickets to give away to this VIP preview evening and a hamper, full of their products. I also have two runner’s-up prizes of parcels of the full new spice rub range to give away.
