Baking in this house requires organisation because the 2 year old understands when I’ve something baking. He likes to sit in front of the oven and demand instant results. His naps are beginning to shorten too so if I want to bake I need to be able to lash a cake batter together rapidly and have it cooked and cooling by the time he wakes up.
Homemade spaghetti isn’t rocket science. Really, you don’t even need a pasta machine to make pasta. All you need is a clean, smooth surface and a good rolling pin. After years of lusting after a real pasta machine I finally got my hands on one back in November and it’s been firmly in use most weeks since then. Continue reading
Today is the day that I will get a tea break to myself, all to myself, while the 2 year old naps and the other kids are in school, himself will be at work. I will get a tea break. I will drink a hot cup of tea from start to finish and the house will be quiet. Apart from the quiet bubble of the slow cooker that is.
