14 Days Worth Of Podcasts

So Seachtain na Gaeilge is over and I’ve been left with 14 days worth of podcasts. I thought now would be as good a time as any to review how I got on with the podcasts.

If you think that you would be interested in learning some simple Irish (Gaeilge) outside of the classroom and in short bursts then why not listen to some of the podcasts on the board below. I promise they’re not too taxing. After the board I’ve got some boring information on how I felt I got on with the series.

Feedback

I got some wonderful feedback from all over the globe on the short podcasts sharing some words “As Gaeilge” or in the Irish language. Of particular mention was a listener in Israel with whom I struck a chord, literally & figuratively. I can’t forget the gentle ribbing from Mr Donegan and encouragement from Bernie Goldbach (Topgold on all good social networks so I’m told).

Plays

Well I finished recording yesterday and this morning, 14 days after I started the podcast series I can confirm that the series has been played over 10,000 times to date. Wow, just wow. In fact the series was so popular that it trended every single day that it was uploaded to Audioboo.

Thanks

I wouldn’t have been able to record the whole series without the help of the boys. The 4 year old was a very enthuasiastic helper and he was disappointed that he wasn’t able to record the last couple due to being sick.  He will be helping me with more podcasts in future. The 16 month old just enjoyed the games like he always does.

So thank you for listening and participating in the fun. If you’d like to suggest a topic or hear more don’t be afraid to comment below!
