CongRegation 2013

It has been just over a week since I attended CongRegation 2013. I’m still processing the information I learned on the day. The idea of an “unconference” is so liberating and personal, compared to many expert-led conferences that I’ve attended in the past. I found it very inspiring.

The day was broken up into 4 huddles where we listened, listened some more, observed, chatted and shared information and know-how. I say 4 huddles but technically I participated in a total of 6. Thanks in no small part to the generosity of Pauline Sargent and Sabine McKenna with whom I travelled on the day.

This day last week I recorded some thoughts on how the day went and you can hear them by clicking play below.

I finally got a chance to look at my camera today. As it turned out I was so fascinated and engaged by what was happening around me I didn’t really make the time to pick it up and take shots.

I don’t normally take landscape pictures but I was inspired that day by the village where “The Quiet Man” was filmed. It was my first visit and certainly won’t be my last.

Many thanks to Eoin Kennedy for organising the event. I’m looking forward to next year.
