Great BBQ Recipes
Truth be told it doesn’t really feel like June is starting on Monday, while the weather is pretty cool – it doesn’t stop me wanting to heat up the barbecue grill and cook!
I’m revisiting all my great BBQ recipes. What I’ve done today is linked the best in this blogpost so you can return at your leisure.
Sides
In fairness not really a BBQ recipe but a brilliant salad that is perfectly okay to eat on its own.

If you’re hosting a party, you don’t want to be spending hours slaving in the kitchen. This is a perfect salad to make with in-season fresh peas or with frozen either!
One of my most popular recipes to date, this simple coleslaw is a tried and tested family recipe from my mother’s cookbook.
Sauces & Rubs
If you’re going to make this chilli sauce, make a double batch as it’s addictive and keeps well in the fridge!
The apples in this sauce add the perfect sweet note to the sour from the vinegar. Great for pork!
Rub this simple spice mix over chicken, pork or beef before cooking or keep it in a sealed jar and use it as required.
This is an unusual but excellent pairing. Marmite works very well with meat and tofu alike.
Desserts

Be the toast of any party with this quick ice cream.
Baked BBQ Banana – While not so visually appealing, bananas and BBQ are made for slow burning embers!
Don’t forget you pick up my book over at Amazon & whatever you’re up to in this fabulous* weather have a great time!

A very timely post indeed! Love the lead photo, it has long since been my contention that we don’t depend on the weather in order to light the BBQ, we have a very large parasol that keeps out the rain as well as the sun! Thanks for the recipies…I am bookmarking this. I’ve been trying to get the homemade coleslaw jsut right for the past 2 years.
