Seachtain Na Gaeilge

Má leirionn an blog go minic thú, béidh a fhios agat gur socraidh mé post amhain a scriobh le haghaidh Seachtain Na Gaeilge inniu.

Laibhrim ár dteanga sa bhaile, taobh amuigh srl ach ní bíonn gá dom é a scriobh go minic. So gabh mo leithsceil Gaeilgoirí, táim ag déanamh iarracht!

‘Se bia an priomh-fáth go bhfuil blog agam. Ní oideas atá agam daoibh inniú mar tá sé thar a bheith easca a déanamh so ní feidir liom an tearma “oideas” a cúr air!

Ar aon nós, bia fíor-Eireannach atá ann. Usaid mé prataí nua beaga, píosa cáis mozzarella ó Toonsbridge, slisín gearrtha agus biolar a bhí in a fás ag mo mhac in aice leis an fuinneog ar scoil. Chuir mé gach rud le cheile, agus faoin greille leo (seachas an biolar) ar feadh 10 noimead.

Blásta!

English Version

If you’re a regular reader of the blog you’d know that I decided to write 1 Irish post for Seachtain na Gaeilge today.

I speak our language at home, about and about etc but I don’t have to write it often. So please excuse my Irish, I am trying!

Food is the main reason I have this blog. I don’t have a recipe “per se” for you today but it’s very easy to make so I can’t technically call it a recipe.

Anyway, this is real Irish food. I used some cooked baby new potatoes, a bit of mozzarella cheese from Toonsbridge, some chopped up rashers and watercress that the 4yo had been growing beside the window in school. I put the whole lot together (except the watercress), and under the grill for 10 minutes.

Tasty!

I'm an Irish mother to 2 boys, born & bred in Dublin, Ireland. I like to cook simple & fresh food for the family, with the family on a budget.
