Orange Is The New Black Series 2

As part of my Netflix Stream Team duties every now and again I get invited to the launch of a new series. However as I’ve been under a rock for the past year, I haven’t caught up with half the cult series. Basically if it’s not a cartoon character based series, I probably haven’t seen it. These are the perils of having small children in the house & working odd hours.

When the invitation to the launch of Series 2 of Orange Is The New Black (OITNB) arrived I asked a few of my team; Sinéad & Jon to head on in and check it out. They’re big fans & here is what Sinéad thought: Read More

Gluten Free Bargains In Lidl

I do try to eat a lower gluten diet than most. Simply because it doesn’t always agree with me.  Still, it is expensive to eat certain things if you’re on a gluten-free diet and Lidl have some gluten-free bargains this week that are well worth a look. Read More

Netflix Countdown To The Oscars

There is a Netflix countdown to The Oscars over on their media streaming service. They provided me with a list of all the Oscar nominated movies and productions they have available, including their own documentary “The Square”.  I’ve gone through the list they sent and selected a few of my favourites in case you’re interested! Mienas Handmade Nougat

Miena and I used to work together in an industry as unrelated to food as possible. Considering we both worked for a company that had less than 10 employees it’s pretty amazing that two of us have ended up following our passion for food. Read More

Turbo FAST

Finally it’s Christmas Eve and the kids are pure wired here. A couple of weeks ago we nipped along to a preview screening of the new, exclusive series on Netflix for kids “Turbo FAST” and the boys have been driving me demented to watch it again since. It’s great to have something that’s not Christmas themed to take their minds off things for a few minutes anyway.

Dolores Keaveney

I didn’t manage to make the Irish Craft Fair in the RDS this year, but never fear my  mother went on my behalf instead. She arrived home with 2 parcels for me. One of which contained a book from the self-published author and artist, Dolores Keaveney.  Read More

Savoury Crumble With Mustard

I was recently contacted by Maille, who asked me to review a gift box of their premium mustards. What better way to review a product than to try it in a recipe and see how it stands up to my Savoury Crumble with Mustard? Read More

Morphy Richards Soup Maker Review

A couple of weeks ago I was asked would I like to try out a Morphy Richards Soup Maker for review purposes. Even though space is at a premium in my galley kitchen, this appliance sounded very interesting and I decided to to give it a go.

Letters Become Toys With Disney

Could it really be that simple? Could letters become toys with Disney?

When I was invited along to their store on Dublin’s Grafton Street last week I wasn’t sure what to expect. Surely this good news story was too good to be true. The mad thing is, it’s not. Read More
